OSHA

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration. It is a federal agency in the United States that is part of the Department of Labor. OSHA's primary mission is to ensure safe and healthy working conditions for employees by enforcing workplace safety and health regulations, providing training, and offering assistance to employers and workers.

On-street Parking

Curb-side parking on a street or highway.

Open-air facility (Open Parking Garage)

A parking facility design or configuration where the parking facility does not have a fully enclosed or roofed structure. Instead, it is characterized by an open and exposed layout that allows natural elements, such as sunlight and fresh air, to permeate the parking area.

Operating Expenses

Refer to the costs incurred in the management, maintenance, and operation of parking facilities. These expenses can vary depending on the type and size of the parking facility, location, management approach, and specific services provided.

Out-of-phase Movement

The phenomenon where adjacent parts of a building move or vibrate in different directions or at different times during an external force event, such as an earthquake or windstorm. This can occur due to variations in the stiffness, mass distribution, or natural frequencies of different building components. When a building experiences out-of-phase movements, it can lead to detrimental effects on the structural integrity and overall performance of the structure.
